S.O.S. The Onlus Blue Telephone was born in 1987 as the first National Prevention Line on Children Abuse. 1.96.96 is a free line reserved for children and adolescents to report abuse, danger, trouble and discomfort. 199.15.15.15 is an institutional line for adults who want to report a problem that involves children and adolescents. 114 is a free line to report emergency situations that involve children and adolescents. All these lines are active 24/7, everyday of the year.
Today, the listening and the telephone counseling remain as fundamental activities. Alongside these activities, the development of experimental and innovative projects, such as the “Blue Roof” structures that receive children victims of abuse and the Territorial Centers were born to manage and prevent at a local level, forms of abuse against children and adolescents. The Blue Telephone, besides being present at schools, provides training to the operators and collaborates with the Institutions to guarantee, in all areas, the respect  for children’s rights.
